Memory Pairs: a guide for your next round

Start Memory Pairs by looking at the playing area and its controls. Match all eight pairs. Your result is the number of two-card turns used. Look at what changes after your first action. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Practice with a purpose

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Refer to the controls when needed.

Understand the aim

Match all eight pairs. Your result is the number of two-card turns used. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Keep the controls in easy reach.

How to proceed

  1. Turn over any face-down card.
  2. Choose a second card. Equal symbols stay visible.
  3. Unequal cards turn back after a short pause.
  4. Continue until every pair is visible.

How to use the controls

Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. A new-round button replaces the current round.

Put the rules into context

Turn over one card, remember its position, then choose a second. A matching pair stays found; a mismatch is hidden again. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Read the matching step again.

Keep this in mind

You cannot turn a third card while a mismatched pair is still being shown. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
